The collection consists of minutes, correspondence, memoranda, reports, drawings, publications, financial records, clippings, and other material generated or accumulated by the United Neighborhood Houses of New York,Inc. (UNH). The records provide a picture of settlement work in New York City between 1913 and 1974, with the most complete documentation between 1947 and 1969. Among other things, the supplement documents UMH's work in the fields of housing, preschool education, juvenile delinquency, jobs training, and neighborhood conservation. There is extensive overlap between this collection and the previously processed UNH records (SW005).
